The dramatic clifftop coastline sits above and around the Puerto Rico resort on the southern coast of Gran Canaria. The layered volcanic cliffs and coastal road offer panoramic views over the Atlantic — a completely different landscape from the sheltered bay below.
Golden hour — approximately 1 hour before sunset — is the most dramatic time to shoot at the Puerto Rico cliffs. The warm light turns the volcanic rock golden and creates a cinematic atmosphere above the deep blue Atlantic. Early morning is also beautiful, with soft light and no crowds.
