The Maspalomas Dunes are a protected nature reserve
The Maspalomas Dunes are part of the Reserva Natural Especial de las Dunas de Maspalomas — a protected nature area under Spanish and European law. During our photoshoot, we only walk and photograph in officially permitted areas. We never enter fenced-off zones, restricted paths or areas with protected vegetation. As your photographer, I know exactly where we can and cannot go — so you can enjoy the experience completely carefree. Together we respect this unique landscape, so it remains beautiful for generations to come.
The golden hour at Maspalomas is something you'll never forget
The Maspalomas Dunes face west — which means the sunset light falls directly onto the sand. For about 45 minutes before sunset, the entire landscape turns into a warm, glowing canvas. We plan every shoot around this window.

Yes — the Maspalomas Dunes are officially designated as a Reserva Natural Especial under Spanish law and protected under European nature conservation legislation.
The golden hour — about 60 to 90 minutes before sunset — is by far the most popular and most beautiful time. The low sun casts warm, golden light across the sand and creates long dramatic shadows.
Early morning is also stunning: the dunes are completely empty and the sand still shows perfect ripple patterns from the night before.
You'll receive a selection of professionally edited, high-resolution images — typically 50 to 100+ photos depending on the package. Every photo is carefully edited for colour, light and mood.
Your photos are delivered within 24 hours after your shoot — via a private online gallery. This means even if you're heading home the next day, your photos will be ready before you land.
Absolutely! Children love the dunes — no busy roads, no crowds and endless space to run and explore. We keep the shoot relaxed and playful, no forced poses, just real moments.
Dogs are generally not permitted inside the protected nature reserve to protect local wildlife. However, the beach directly adjacent to the dunes does allow dogs in certain areas.

The most convenient access point is near the Faro de Maspalomas (lighthouse). Free parking is available at Playa de Maspalomas. After booking, I'll send you a precise meeting point with a Google Maps link.
Light, flowing fabrics in natural tones — whites, creams, soft pinks, terracotta — look stunning against the golden sand. Avoid busy patterns or neon colours.
